Amber Ogden is....

A Detroit native, experienced writer with a extensive background in communications, marketing and events. She has previously worked in the social work field as a foster care worker, licensing specialist, development and in residential facilities. With her passion for at-risk youth and families; she is currently developing marketing and fundraising efforts for non-profits organizations. 

She is currently a freelance writer.  She has work previously published in Black Bride Magazine , LOCALE MagazineThe Event Bar, and Basic Magazine

Amber was recently featured and recognized as a freelance writer in Metromode along side experienced freelance writers, journalists and photographers. 

Amber has spearheaded an annual 5K run for Foster Care Awareness Month every May through a non-profit organization (Forever-Families) that is a foster care and adoption agency.  She annually develops and implement marketing plans and materials for the race.  She coordinates race logistics, publicity, including public relations, advertising and collateral material design, production and distribution. She also manages all aspects of volunteer committees and volunteer coordination, including but not limited to, staffing, recruitment, supervision and training.

Amber was recently Media Coordinator for the 2017 Detroit's 6th Annual  "Dilla Youth  Day" located at the Charles H. Wright Museum.  She was in charge of greeting all media representatives as they arrived to the event. Also running and updating all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) throughout the day. She was also responsible for taking pictures and videos of the event.
